Loire Wine Valley

Most Loire wines are jewels sown all along the great wild river and its tributaries
All very close to the Maison de l’Argentier du Roy

Which makes it an ideal location, to stay longer (*) to explore the vines, cellars of these vineyards.
(*) ..and thus benefit from our best direct booking offers, from 3 nights (-10%), 4 nights (-15%), or 7 nights (-20%)

Our wine tradition is one of the oldest and has become Premium among the best terroirs in France.

With its wide palette of shades, colors, grapes; soft, extra sweet dry, sparkling or not; they all have this character trait which sets them apart, happily (Montlouis, Saumur, Vouvray, Bourgeuil, Chinon, Valencay, Touraines 'Gamay, etc.).
Interspersing visits to castles with vineyards offers judicious tours. smile

In our garden, these 10 grape varieties(*) specific to our Touraine in Val-de-Loire are planted

We are so in love with it, that we made a "mini-observation vine"...directly, at home!

(*) Cabernet Franc, Chenin, Romorantin, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Côt, Pinot Noir, Pinot d'Aunis, Sauvignon, and Gamay de Touraine)
Our little pleasure, for us, to see them grow, evolve, every day... to have even attempted, with success, a micro-vinification of these gifts of nature.

Some Photos, of our "micro-vinification" (for the pleasure of the "experience")
Some of these “mini-bottles” of our “Maison vintages” are in the cellar, to age quietly.
We taste one, from time to time, to follow their evolution.
